At Aristone, we are always looking at ways new technology can help our patients, and we’ve just installed a state-of-the-art digital retinal camera at our practices in Fulham and Harrow. This will allow us to take photographs of the back of your eye (the retina) and means we’ll be able to carry out more detailed examinations than ever before.

The image we take is similar to the one on the right, and is used by our experienced optometrist to diagnose the health and condition of your eyes.

Taking the photograph is safe and completely painless and the image is captured in just a few seconds using flash photography – nothing touches your eye.

We have a permanent and accurate record of the condition of your eyes stored on our computer, allowing us to compare images and look for any changes year on year. This is a great advantage and could prove invaluable in monitoring your eye health.
