Our vision is to help develop and nurture creative talent, and guide our students in to a fulfilling and rewarding career in Makeup Artistry, empowering them with the best artistic, professional, technical and personal management skills. Our hand picked tutors, overseen by our award winning Senior Creative Director, Peter King are all still active in their chosen fields of makeup artistry, and are first and foremost professional makeup artists. Also inspiring and engaging teachers, they bring their years of experience right up to date, and can share their knowledge of how to be successful and stand out , both creatively and personally.

Diversity and Opportunity

The Academy offers a diverse range of courses designed to appeal to individual passion and ambition, whilst our Peter King Intensive Course gives you a full insight in to all disciplines of makeup artistry..from fashion shoot makeup, airbrushing, body art, special effects, prosthetics, theatre, period makeup, hairdressing, to wig making and hair styling. This gives Intensive Course graduates the opportunity to pursue the specific genres within which their strengths lie, whilst providing them with a wide ranging portfolio to move forward with.

Graduate Care

We want to see our Graduates maximise their potential in the media and develop their own network of contacts through a positive work ethic and high standards. We place a strong emphasis on work placement and trainee opportunities for all of our past students. We are continually developing professional links with existing Tutors, giving students access to hands on experience as trainees in the industry. In addition we have a range of additional training options from local amateur theatre groups, bridal makeup agencies, private client recommendations, a Drama department partnership with Bath Spa University , all the way through to guaranteed placement opportunities with Peter King and his experienced team on working films.

Location

The renowned heritage city of Bath is considered one of the most beautiful and culture rich cities in Europe and is the perfect location for students to enjoy a study/ life balance should they choose to reside here . BAMM is centrally located and there is an abundance of accommodation options from cheap Hostels through to City Centre Apartments and student residences. In addition there are strong public transport links; with regular trains (every 30 mins) arriving in to the city from travel hubs London and Bristol, regular bus services to and from all parts of the city and buses and trains to the surrounding areas. Bath has the added benefit of not being too large a city – a walk from one end of the City to another only takes 15 minutes.
