Ceramic village of BatTrang was established and developed since King Ly Thai To relocated the capital from Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) to Thang Long (Hanoi).

With its 1000 year history, BatTrang ceramics has gained reputation through highly art valued products which were used in the Palace and as presents for local and foreign mandarins. In 16th century, BatTrang ceramics was exported to Japan making a trend of using BatTrang products in Japan for years.

Contemporary products, displaying its tradition in addition with new technology and creativity, are beautiful, unique and high quality. This is clearly shown in annual 20% - 25% increase of export turnover.

Production is not only limited within the village, but expanded to the whole area as well with nearly 3000 family producers, creating jobs for ten thousands of surrounding labours.

In current integration trend, BatTrang ceramics is building its own brandname and trademark strategy for long term development, stability and prosperity.
