The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) was established on 1 December 2002 replacing the Office of the Director of Telecommunications Regulation (ODTR). ComReg is the statutory body charged with the licensing and regulation of the electronic communications industry in Ireland and also has responsibility for regulating the postal sector.
