Part of the mission of the Co-op is to serve our community. We do this through a variety of means, including offering a large selection of natural foods and in-house Deli and Bakery creations, as well as classes, sponsored events, and donations to organizations that do good in our community. The Co-op sponsors numerous events through the year, including musicians, art exhibits, and athletic events. Our Farm Fund program actively supports our local farming community. While the Co-op is sustained by the community, our values state that we exist to support and build community by cultivating connections within the Co-op itself and in Whatcom County. We want to be a part of creating a sustainable world by helping support one another.

We were picked as the Natural Products Association's 2011 Socially Responsible Retailer of the Year. We have also been voted Best Grocery Store and Best Deli by Cascadia Weekly readers numerous times.
