Continental Automatic Doors of Lubbock was a business created by Howard Bailey in October of 1999. Mr. Bailey had successfully started and run Continental Automatic Doors of Amarillo since 1984.

In October of 1999 Mr. Bailey and Neal Bellah decided to start Continental Automatic Doors of Lubbock. They selected a door technician, Jared Swopes, who had been with them since October of 1995 to run the new establishment. They sent Jared to the South Plains area with a truck full of parts and encouragement that this could be a promising opportunity.

Since that time, Continental of Lubbock has grown to a successful, self-sufficient business.
