The Howard/Drummond family opened shop in 1986 with a commitment to offering beautiful handmade rugs. It did not take long for this combination of skill and talent, along with their reputation for quality and service, to boost Eighteenth Street Orientals from a startup business to a recognized leader in the industry. Having continued the tradition, Paige and Sam Drummond have maintained the commitment their family originated 28 years ago. Paige and her team of employees are both passionate and dedicated to serving their customers.

Being a business owner for Paige is a dream. “It’s so rewarding when you’re truly excited to go to work each morning.” Paige enjoys being able to meet with her clients face to face so that she can understand their wants and needs and provide them with a rug that meets all of their expectations. Downtown Homewood has been home to Eighteenth Street Orientals since its inception. Their heart lies within this close knit community where they reside. Paige and Sam have two children, Elizabeth, a sophmore at the University of Alabama, and Alex, a senior at Homewood High School.
