A Byzantine Rite Catholic Church of Ukrainian origin that is under the jurisdiction of Pope Benedict XVI of Rome, but has its own independent hierarchy. Its roots are in Constantinople, but it is loyal to Rome and not schismatic. All the sacraments are valid and recognized by Rome and any Catholic may attend its liturgical services which fulfill all Catholic mandatory obligations.
