Expertly Dyed was born out of the fun I had with my Master's dissertation in Museum Studies where I was finally able to work towards a Master's of Science (a great thing for an archaeologist). To do this, I needed to conduct experiments and take on the science aspect of museums. I decided to learn how to dye with cochineal, prepare and spin alpaca, and weave samples which would be later bombarded with lasers. I had a blast making my own yarn and then watching the colors reveal themselves during the dyeing process. It was only a matter of time before I grew giddy with the idea of doing this as a business.

All of my colors are 100% repeatable, so there are no dyelots necessary. Among independent dyers, this is very rare and allows you to get more of a certain color in the future if needed.
