It is in the world of kitchens and cabinets that Armand Gagnon began his career. In 1995, following the advice of his brother based in Australia, he explored the concept of closet spaces and storage, and immediately felt inspired. He discovered that most people have a crying need for storage and organization: in most homes, closets and storage spaces are poorly built, resulting in a loss of space and functionality. Mr. Gagnon first tried to publicize his new project in shopping centres, without much success. The following year, he registered as an exhibitor at the Salon de l’habitation, which allowed him to meet potential customers. The reputation of Garde Robes Gagnon started gaining momentum. Mr. Gagnon took care of everything, from the customer meetings to the design and the installation, to guarantee an impeccable quality and service; for 15 years, he spent his days on the road to meet potential customers and make sales. The company settled one year in Saint-Eustache and four years in Saint-Sauveur, then finally settled in Mirabel, home of the current head office. Four divisions were also launched across Quebec, expanding from 1,000 square feet to 16,000 square feet.
