My love of art and textiles took a strong hold during my GCSE years at School. I went on to study Art and Textiles at college where I was fortunate enough to have the most inspiring teacher I could have ever wished for. Her energy and enthusiasm helped to draw out my own unique style and passion for all things textiles, from that point on I was inseparable from my sewing machine! However, despite my strong grades and obvious passion in this area, I decided to pursue my second true love - Film. I surprised myself at how well I got on with this course and over the next three years developed my talent in Film and Television production. The blood, sweat and tears that I poured into my degree paid off as I was awarded a First Class Honours Degree of Bachelor of Arts. I was then hit with the sudden realisation that most students get after finishing their degree - I didn't know what I wanted to do. Although I had thoroughly enjoyed the degree I did not want to pursue it, so what next?
