At Kumon, we aim to bring out the potential in each individual whether it s in English or Math Find out what happens in a Kumon Math class in Cambodia. Kumon was founded in Japan in 1954. Toru Kumon created learning materials that would fulfill his aim of producing the greatest result in the shortest possible time. He concentrated in the calculation skills required for later studying high school maths and arranged for his son to study only the essential learning foci that would benefit much more from advancing directly to senior high school level calculus.

What began as a father’s love for his son became what is now known as the Kumon Method of Learning. At Kumon, we never forgot the beginning of the Kumon Method, nor the ideology and lessons by our founder Toru Kumon. We continue to develop the worksheets and improve our instructions in order to provide the “just-right” instructions to the students, faithful to the central tenets of the Kumon Method.

All of us at Kumon feel a deep responsibility and sense of mission as we strive to make a contribution to the global community, and ultimately to world peace, by nurturing smarter children through individualised education.

Today, Kumon is the world largest after school enrichment programme with more than 4 million students have enrolled in over 7,500 Kumon Centers in 50 countries & regions. Right at this moment, someone, somewhere around the world is learning with Kumon.
