My name is Alix Marina-Chouhan. I am a French- Italian photographer based in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

I photograph all kinds of weddings and ceremonies in the UK and Europe. My husband is Gujarati and I have experience of Asian weddings. I am also always interested in learning about other cultures and traditions.

I welcome civil partnerships too. Many of my weddings have been published in magazines and featured in blogs.

I love photographing people from birth to old age in stress-free outdoors or at home sessions capturing emotional, precious moments.

I bring my French warmth, my feminine eye for beauty into a mix of very natural, candid images and some fabulous shots with more direction.

Most people like natural photos yet feel awkward in front of a camera- I do too! So I take time to listen to you, I get excited about sharing ideas. A pre-wedding shoot is really helpful in this as we get to know each other and you get used to me pointing my lenses at you. We build a friendly, trusting relationship to have photos that show the best of you, and I usually stay friends with my brides , sometimes for years

I love reportage photography but I realised that many people feel awkward for couple shots yet really want stunning photos of the two of them in their chosen venue. So I do suggest things, give some direction for you to interpret with your own personalities. I don’t pose people as such as I don’t want to do “weddings-by-numbers” and take the soul out of your wedding.
