Micro-Med, Inc. was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in April, 1989 by Patrick D. Harris, Ph.D. to develop signal processing technologies for new medical diagnostic applications.

The TelScreen division was formed in 1994 to develop, manufacture, and market products that provide in-office digital image capture for diagnostic photodocumentation, and permit primary vision-care doctors to transmit digital images to specialty ophthalmologists for remote consultation. These TelScreen products are now known world-wide by the EyeRes trademark.

Appeared on the Inc. 5000 List in 2007 and 2009.
