Thai silk fabrics with Mud Mee patterns, so called tie-dyed Thai silk fabrics, are created mainly through the dyeing and the weaving of silk yarns. This is the most popular form of Thai silk fabrics.

The special "tie-dying" process means silk yarns are tied at different parts and then dyed into different unique patterns. The yarns are later used to weave silk fabrics with different Mud Mee patterns.
