Our Facilities
Our goat barn consists of multiple pens where the goats are housed on straw bedding. The barn has excellent ventilation which is vital for herd health. The barn also protects the goats from inclement weather. Our goats also have daily access to outdoor paddocks.

Our Herd
Our goats are fed a balanced diet of locally grown alfalfa and barley, as well as mineral supplements as recommended by our animal nutritionists.
Because goats are a smaller animal, they leave a smaller carbon ‘hoof print’ than dairy cows. They are a pleasure to work with due to their size and good nature.
We have several breeds in our herd with about half of our herd being Saanens. We also have Toggenberg, Alpine, Nubian and LaMancha breeds.
The Saanen breed originated in Switzerland and are a dairy goat. They are white or light cream in color and are medium to large in size. They have excellent udders and are considered the preferred goat for milk production. Their ears are alert and point forward. They are sensitive to excessive sunlight and perform best in cooler conditions.
The Toggenberg breed is a Swiss dairy goat and is credited as being the oldest known dairy goat breed. They are of medium size, sturdy, vigorous and alert in appearance. Their coloring varies from light fawn to dark chocolate with two white stripes down the face. The ears are erect and carried forward. Toggenbergs are noted for their excellent udder development and high milk production.
The Alpine breed originated in the Alps. The mature females are a smaller goat with a smooth coat, sometimes with a strip of longer hair along the spine. The ears are medium size and are carried forward. They are excellent milkers and have large well shaped udders.
The Nubian goat was developed in England by crossing British goats with bucks of African and Indian origin. They are an all purpose goat that milk well and have good butterfat content in their milk. The Nubian is a larger goat with long pendulous ears that hang close to the head. They have a darker colored coat with various markings and colors.
The LaMancha goat has a straight face with notably small triangular shaped ears about one inch long with the end of the ear turned down. The breed originated in Oregon. They have an excellent dairy temperament and are an all around sturdy animal. They have a variety of colors and markings.
