Colorado Springs, CO is said to be one the fastest growing cities in the U.S.

With rapid growth comes new residents, expanding suburbs, more demand for services, and ultimately, more business and competition. There is no reason for Colorado Springs to stop growing in the foreseeable future, and if you are a current business owner in Colorado Springs, it is imperative that you stay one step ahead of the competition to capitalize on the growing customer base and not get left behind by new trendy competitors.

As of 2020, one of the most effective ways to grow your business today in 2020 is to rank on Google for keywords of services you provide here in Colorado Springs. That means that whenever someone types the service you provide on their phone (ie "cryotherapy in colorado springs," your website and business shows up at the top of Google for that keyword.

This is incredibly important because this is exactly how potential customers are finding out about you and your competitors in the local area.

Of course, this wasn't always the case.

Only a few decades ago, most people found businesses based on their location, so if you were located on the west end of town towards Pikes Peak, you served most of the customers on the west end of town. This, phone books, magnets, brochures, mailers, tv, and radio. However, now with changing technologies, smart phones, and laptops, being found on Google and SEO has arguably trumped all other forms of advertising for potential growth vs marketing dollars spent.

While more and more businesses are noticing a decrease in return on traditional forms of advertisement like KOAA and TV, radio stations like 98.9, billboards, and direct mail, those savvy enough to set up a Google My Business page eventually receive phone calls and leads from just that listing with little to no effort.

NOT ALL SEO IS THE SAME

We have many businesses who we work with who initially say SEO and "online advertising" doesn't work for their business in Colorado. They explain that they've tried things like advertising with Yelp, Yellowpages, Home Advisor, paying a company out of India, etc to do their online marketing and got little to no results. The reason why they got little to no results was simply because they were in front of the wrong channel.

Only a very small number of people use these mediums, and you, the business owner, are paying a premium to be listed on that platform and is rarely worth the investment. Quite simply, if they had instead worked on ranking on Google, they would've gotten much further with their online endeavors.

Of course, not all SEO companies are the same either. Many fly-by-night companies from third world countries and inexperienced SEO companies reach out to business owners, offer "full service packages" like social seo and brand marketing that have little impact on getting you in front seo, and promise the world. They have no intention of doing actual practical work that impact Google's algorithm, do outdated black-hat tactics, or just simply make mistake
