OBA! was founded in 2010 by David Turner and Joe Charogoff, two co-workers with the idea to vastly improve sleeved blankets, by making them more comfortable, fashionable, and durable.

We purchased an existing, and popular sleeved blanket, and examined it. It was clear there was a great deal of room for improvement. The blanket was just one big piece of thin, see through, and poor quality fleece. There was no pocket at that time or even when we first had one and the poor stitching was the same color as the fleece.

Our blankets are made from thick quality fleece, have a large pocket sewn on the front, and use a secondary color cross stitching around the blanket and pocket
