Automotive market, internationally Prabha is known for its expertise in DC Motors for automotive non-automotive applications.

A special team of experts from diverse fields, under the able guidance of Mr. J. Y. Chaphekar, is dedicated to development of new applications and products.

1958 - A humble beginning was done by Late Mr. Y.N. Chaphekar by starting a tool room with a capital of Rs. 5000/ USD 110.

1960 to 1972 - Jaywant Chaphekar his three brothers joined the business were appreciated by reputed companies like ABB, Siemens, Crompton for supplies of tools .

1975 - Customers encouraged us for supplying components in a short span our customer base included IBM, Crompton Greaves, LT largest engineering conglomerate , Bajaj largest scooter manufacturer etc.

1980 - We started supplies of assemblies like Hand Brake, Window regulator etc to Tata Motors, Mahindra Mahindra.

1982 - Tata Motors impressed by our quality service encouraged us to build a plant to make load body's.

1987 - We started Auto Electrical division as pioneers to introduce Windshield Washer system.

1991 - Customer confidence grew additional state of art new facility was installed with one of the largest load body paint shops in pune.

1994 - Exports initiated to USA for supplies of Foot Steps Jack etc.

2001 - Family business restructured Prabha opted for Auto Electrical Exports

2002 - Prabha started its exports to International OEM LDV in Birmingham John Deere USA.

2004 - Established additional Plant at Pune.

2006 - Started exports to Kautex.

2009 - Additional Blow molding facility was created at pune.

2009 - We achieved ISO/TS16949:2009 certification from TUV NORD.

2011 - capacity expansion for washer pump blow moulding done in pune.
