Built as a one room school 1910 and a two room in 1916, POHA & M was originally known as New Baltimore Quincy Township School and was operated until 1955. Sold at Public Sale to Edward Carbaugh the building was used as a garage & storage area until purchased by New Baltimore Church of God on October 24, 2002. POHA & M is a regional Archives & Museum containing materials & phototgraphs too numerous to mention. The Mark & Gladys Carbaugh 1930-1950 General Store was added on July 14, 2010 & features store related items, a map area as well as other business related items & artifacts. POHA & M holds the largest single collection of original Waynesboro area newspapers from 1850-1923, & newspapers on microfilm from Gettysburg, Waynesboro, Greencastle, Chambersburg & Shippensburg.
Our Administrator writes a weekly column 'Once upon our times' which runs every Wednesday in the Waynesboro, PA Record Herald.
