This course will enable competent electricians working as part of a small to medium size company or on their own; as well as those engaged on maintenance, to Test and Inspect both Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Installations. You require a background in electrical installation i.e. Qualified Electrician and a knowledge of electrical installation principals and it is essential that you already possess C&G 2380 or preferably 2381 i.e. 16th Edition Regulations. 28 Hours of study at the centre. Areas to be covered include:- Items to be checked during the detailed inspection. The need for diagrams & charts to be available prior to the testing process. The sequence of and procedures for testing. The requirements for inspection and testing of alterations and/or additions to an existing installation. Issuing Completion and Inspection Certificates. The requirements for periodic testing. Choosing appropriate test equipment, plus hands on use of the test equipment.
