I am the millinery designer and straw sculptress for Secret Beauty Hats. My hats are handmade in the USA and I design each hat using fine quality materials from around the world. My specialty is sculpturing and blocking straw with my favorite medium sinamay.

My hat making inspiration is fueled from my childhood. Every Sunday there was always an atmosphere filled with an exquisite lady like elegance and a sophisticated presence that the church ladies displayed in my neighborhood and church. They wore their gloves, big fancy hats with dancing plumes and luxurious silk flowers gracefully adorned every chapeaux. Oh! I could only dream of that day when I could wear a glamorous crown to church. When that time came I started rearranging and remaking old hats into what I remembered as an child, FABULOUSNESS!!

My visual art studies and hard work qualified my sculptured hats to be displayed and sold in art museums, theaters, Chicago Merchandise Mart, upscale specialty boutiques and department stores around the world. My listings appears in the UK. directory as best USA Milliner.

I am certified as the 2012 Hatty award winner and recognized as the Kentucky Derby's premier hat designer. Every year hats from my Secret Beauty Collection are paraded by women from around the world on millionaire row at the Kentucky Derby.

I offer hat making workshops for groups and individuals with a serious desire to learn. My most recent sinamay workshop was held at Judith M's in La Grange IN. Beginners and advance hat makers all left the workshop with two to three completed sinamay hats.
