Our trailer training Experts are all fully qualified Driving Standard Agency Driving Instructors and also hold many other qualifications including DSA Fleet Instructors, RoSPA, IAM, Diamond Advanced and more. Apart from having a passion for driving and teaching our driving qualifications can ensure quality trailer training for any individual.

We will provide a 4x4 vehicle with a box trailer for all of your trailer training and test (B+E) requirements.

All courses are designed to not only teach you how to tow a trailer but to bring your driving skills to the required DSA standard to pass a test.

Trailer Training Essex and Suffolk is run by driving experts who have many years of experience in many different forms of driver training. There are many forms of training from B+ E (car & trailer) licence acquisition, which includes a driving test, through to someone who has licence entitlements but never used a trailer before. Our courses include,

B+E Licence Course

This course is designed for someone who is new to using a trailer and wants to pass the B+E test. The “B” category is car and the “+E” part is for a trailer. This training starts with a 4 hour introductory lesson which covers,

Vehicle familiarisation & reversing

Using mirrors & equipment

Vehicle checks

Coupling/Uncoupling

Basic manoeuvres

At the end of this session we will also give you a full explanation of what training you require, if any, to pass the DSA B+E test.

Cost £190.00 (fully inclusive)

Following the initial training and assessment a recommendation will be made for one of the following,

2 Hours (1 Day) Retest Session - At test standard (Test Fee inc) £ 190.00

6 Hours (1 Day) Good knowledge of towing and at a good standard (Test Fee inc) £ 340.00

12 Hours (2 Days) Intermediate driver with a little knowledge of towing (Test Fee inc) £ 565.00

18 Hours (3 Days) New to towing and some elements of driving need attention (Test Fee inc) £ 790.00

24 Hours (4 Days) New to towing and not a confident driver (Test Fee inc) £ 999.00

For someone who already has a B+E licence but never towed a trailer before it is strongly recommend that you complete the initial 4 hour session and then book one of the following,

2 Hours (1 Day) Needs to learn to reverse £ 75.00

6 Hours (1 Day) Good knowledge of towing and at a good standard £ 225.00

12 Hours (2 Days) Intermediate driver with a little knowledge of towing £ 450.00

18 Hours (3 Days) New to towing and some elements of driving need attention £ 675.00

24 Hours (4 Days) New to towing and not a confident driver £ 899.00
