Dogs are not born understanding us. Our pets are like travelers in a strange land, surrounded by a foreign culture and a different language.

This language gap can lead to frustration for both dog and owner.

In order for us to live in peace with our pets, we must teach them our ways, and learn some of their culture.

To teach our dogs we must be fair and consistent without being permissive.

Without kindness the relationship crumbles.
