The Vancouver Enterprise Forum (\"VEF\") is a non-profit B.C. society supported by its sponsors, its members, by all attendees at VEF events and by its generous volunteers. The VEF holds monthly \"forums\" at B.C.\'s Science World on the last Tuesday. These are dinner events and provide attendees with an opportunity to network with each other prior to the presentations scheduled at 6:45 pm. The forums typically follow one of two formats: a company presentation or a thematic discussion. Company presentations entail local firms presenting their corporate business plans, or an aspect thereof, followed by a panel review and questions from the audience. Thematic events vary in presentation format but are designed to cover topics of general interest. As an example, the annual \"Venture Financing\" forum covers fund-raising for technology firms and is nearly always sold-out due to its popularity.
